Shenzhen Qianhai Shekou Free Trade Zone Hospital (深圳市前海蛇口自贸区医院), formerly Shekou People's Hospital, is a public Grade-3 general hospital in the Shekou area of Nanshan District, founded in 1955. It was the first public hospital in South China to receive international JCI accreditation with a gold re-accreditation, and consistently reports among the highest international-patient volumes of any Shenzhen hospital.
Shenzhen Qianhai Shekou Free Trade Zone Hospital began as Shekou People's Hospital in 1955 and became the first public hospital in South China to earn international JCI accreditation — later re-accredited with a JCI gold award. It is the only Grade-3 general hospital within the Qianhai-Shekou Free Trade Zone and one of Shenzhen's busiest hospitals for foreign and Hong Kong-Macao patients.
The hospital pairs this international-service track record with eight clinical research platforms — including stem-cell clinical translation, immune-cell therapy, 3D-printing and regenerative medicine, precision medicine, an international medical service centre, and an international clinical drug-trial centre. With 506 licensed beds and a new tower under construction, it is expanding while keeping its focus on international and cross-border care.
