The Signature Executive package (¥16,000, JD Health) adds a lung cancer genetic risk assessment and a colorectal cancer risk assessment based on blood five-gene methylation testing — alongside a hereditary cardiovascular risk panel included from our Premium tier upward. These are risk-scoring tools, not diagnoses; a flagged result is followed by specialist review, not treatment.
Medical tourism for health screening has traditionally flowed to Singapore, Japan, and South Korea. A growing number of international executives are choosing China — for reasons beyond cost alone.
Our Advanced Executive package (¥7,700, ~USD 1,075) includes brain MRI, echocardiography, and expanded tumour markers — a comparable programme runs USD 2,500–8,000 in Singapore or GBP 2,000–7,000 at a London private hospital. See our full cost breakdown for the country-by-country comparison.
In Western healthcare systems, assembling the same range of tests means coordinating separate GP and specialist referrals over several weeks. Every China Care partner package — from Essential to Platinum — consolidates its full test list into a single half-day morning appointment.
Our Platinum package includes a lung cancer genetic risk assessment and a colorectal cancer risk assessment based on blood five-gene methylation — alongside a hereditary cardiovascular risk panel available from the Premium tier upward. These are screening tools, not diagnoses; a flagged result is followed by specialist review, not treatment.
JD Health's Beijing and Shenzhen centres run a fully digital, app-based workflow from booking through to results. Meinian Onehealth's nationwide packages are available in over 200 Chinese cities — the most geographically accessible option if you're travelling outside a Tier-1 city.

Answers to the questions we hear most often from international executives considering health screening in China.
Ask a specific question →China's Tier-1 cities have continued to expand diagnostic imaging infrastructure over the past decade, with high-field MRI and multi-slice CT density now comparable to OECD averages. Our partner centres — JD Health and Meinian Onehealth — are established, publicly listed screening chains with track records serving international patients, not standalone clinics.
The price difference between China and Singapore or Germany is structural — driven by labour costs and facility pricing policy — rather than a difference in equipment or clinical standards.
All partner hospitals have international patient departments with English-speaking staff for intake and administration. However, not all physicians speak fluent English, and you should have full comprehension of your results, not a partial summary.
China Care provides a bilingual coordinator who accompanies you at key consultations and ensures accurate interpretation throughout your stay. Hospital reports are issued in Chinese — this is standard across all Chinese hospitals, including their international departments. Professional translation for your GP or insurer can be arranged on request.
It depends on your passport. Under China's current visa-free policies: Germany, visa-free up to 30 days. Canada, visa-free up to 30 days for business, tourism, family visits, exchange visits, or transit. Brazil, visa-free up to 30 days. Singapore, visa-free up to 30 days. Policies change; we confirm current status for your nationality when you enquire.
For a 2–3 day health screening trip, most European and SE Asian nationalities do not require a visa. If you do, the official invitation letter can only be issued by the licensed hospital — China Care coordinates with the hospital to secure it and guides you through the rest of the application. See our complete medical visa guide for step-by-step instructions.
If an urgent finding is identified during your appointment, the physician advises you before you leave that day. For findings that surface once your written report is issued (within 3–7 working days), our bilingual coordinator walks you through the result and helps you assess whether follow-up in China makes sense or whether returning home is more appropriate.
For non-urgent findings, the more common scenario, you receive a clear explanation and recommended monitoring interval. China Care remains available for questions after your results are delivered.
It depends on the tier. Our Premium and Platinum packages (brain MRI, expanded genetic risk panels) are only available at JD Health's dedicated centres in Beijing and Shenzhen. Our Essential and Standard packages are Meinian Onehealth packages available in over 200 Chinese cities — useful if your itinerary is elsewhere in the country.
Yes. We regularly coordinate programmes for couples or small family groups. The hospital schedules appointments to minimise overlap, and we recommend accommodation options for the group at the same location.
Each programme is individualised. For example, a male client may add a prostate-focused panel while a female client adds a gynaecological assessment, within the same overall programme and stay.
Yes. China Care works specifically with international patients and coordinates hospital booking, preparation, translation options and follow-up support.
Most preventive screening programmes are self-pay. Some insurers may reimburse selected tests depending on your policy. You pay the published package rate — either through China Care or directly to the screening centre, depending on which centre you book. We recommend confirming reimbursement eligibility with your insurer before booking.
After your preferred date is confirmed, full payment is required before the appointment can be secured. Depending on the selected screening centre, payment may be made either through China Care Health Tours or directly to the screening centre — we tell you which applies before you pay.
Once the booking is confirmed, the screening centre will send the appointment confirmation directly to your registered mobile phone number via SMS. This is your official confirmation that the appointment is secured.
Yes, in major international currencies — you don't need a Chinese bank card or mobile payment app. Depending on the screening centre, you may pay China Care directly or pay the screening centre directly; China Care confirms which method applies and the available options before you book.
Rescheduling is usually possible with advance notice, subject to the screening centre's availability and the policies for any reserved scans, endoscopy slots or specialist consultations.
Cancellation and refund terms depend on the screening centre and how close to the appointment date you cancel — some tests and slots are non-refundable once booked with the centre. China Care confirms the exact cancellation and refund policy for your chosen centre before you pay, so there are no surprises.
Yes, all packages require fasting from midnight before your appointment. The Platinum package's capsule gastroscopy has additional preparation instructions. We send a preparation guide after booking.
Yes. Previous scans, blood tests, medication lists and specialist letters help the screening centre personalise your review and compare changes over time.
Your hospital report is issued in Chinese within 3–7 working days across every tier. Professional English translation can be arranged on request.
Essential and Standard packages (Meinian, nationwide): 1–2 weeks' notice is usually sufficient. Premium and Platinum packages (JD Health, Beijing/Shenzhen): we recommend 3–4 weeks' lead time to secure your preferred appointment slot.
If you have an urgent requirement, contact us and we will do our best to expedite. Some partner centres can accommodate short-notice bookings for international clients.
